영문초록

The study examined preschool children`s flow behaviors in applied piano lessons. 9 teachers and 9 children ages 5 to 6 participated in the study. One lesson of each participant were video recorded and transcribed for the study. Children`s flow behaviors were analyzed by Custodero`s Flow Indicators in Musical Activities and SPSS 21 was used to see the corelation among the flow indicators. The result shows that flow indicators were also present in young children`s applied piano lessons. The high positive correlations were noticed between self-assignment and deliberate gesture, self-correction and expansion, and expansion and deliberate gesture. Also high positive correlations were present between the frequency of flow behaviors of children and several flow indicators, including self-assignment, self-correction, deliberate gesture, and expansion.
