There are 4 couples in this drama which are; Dojin Kim and Esu Seo, Yoon Choi and Maeari Lim, Taesan Lim and Sera Hong, Junglok Lee and Minsook Kim. The four gentlemen are life companions who have known each other since high school.
Dojin and Esu are the main characters in this drama. At first Dojin suffers from one-sided love toward Esu who loves his friend, Taesan secretly. However, after Taesan becomes a lover of Esu’s friend, Sera and realizes her secret love at the end, Esu gives up longing for him and finds herself falling in love with Dojin who was always there for her. They confess their love to each other and spend a nice time together. One day, Eun Hee, the first love of the four gentlemen including Dojin appears with her son, Collin. She tells Dojin that Collin is his son who made her escape to the United States without telling anybody about her pregnancy. Esu hears the news and tries to break up with Dojin but it is no use. They get to care each other more and go through the hardship wisely. At the end, they get married and live happily ever after.
Yoon and Maeari(Taesan’s younger sister) love each other and have fifteen-year age gap. Yoon feels guilty about it. What is more, he is a widow and that makes another reason for Taesan, Maeari’s brother to oppose their love. Yoon tries not to reveal his true feeling but because of Maeari’s persistent impassioned advances it becomes useless. He finally confesses his love to her and Taesan to get his approval. At first, Taesan is so stubborn that he does not listen to anybody saying against him but comes to consent to their marriage.
To sum up the last two couples’ stories, Taesan and Sera are very hot and straightforward couple. They use to fight with each other a lot but always make up at the end. Junglok is married to Minsook, a rich woman. He often tries to cheat on her about hitting on other women but is caught up easily.
