According to the National Centre of Social Economic Modeling(NATSEM) reports, Australia is going through the gender-wage gap issues with the gap of $93 billions of dollars each year(Annoymous,2010). It is almost 8.5 percent of GDP annually. Because of it’s related issues, unfairness and importance, there are lots of surveys and studies conducted to solve and explain the problems of the gender-wage gap in Australia. The key factors of the gender-wage gap could be divided into direct and indirect discrimination at workplaces. And with the relationship of these key discrimination factors, this essay is going to examine the factors of discriminations to study how they influence the gender-wage gap, and study the movements against the discriminations to solve these issues.
