An Empirical Study on the Effect of the Management of the Logistics System on Physical Distribution Performance

This study was aimed at presenting the plan to improve physical distribution service and reduce physical distribution cost so that the logistics system may be effectively managed from this perspective.
As a result, the following findings were obtained: First, the information attribute and physical distribution cost management technique should be developed and reflected in the physical distribution cost management system if it is to be applied to the decision-making objective such as the planning and management of physical distribution activity. Second, the physical distribution policy for the management should be focused on allowing the logistics system to operate smoothly by groping the plan to optimize two objectives such as the improvement of customer service and the reduction of physical distribution costs within the framework of long-term management decision making. The product should be development in consideration of the efficiency of physical distribution management from the stage of product research and development. Third, domestic business enterprises should have an increased interest in producing physical distribution manpower and investing in physical distribution plant and equipment so as to reinforce their competitiveness in physical distribution.
