The effect of internet addiction on real life:
through the cases of the three pathological internet users
We had in-depth interview with the three pathological internet users. Many addictive internet people has shown from United States, but no case has pronounced from Asia including Korea.
First interviewee used internet 20 hours per one day. He used internet because it provided him freedom which did not met in the real life. He occasionally find WAREZ sites and there every thing was free!. So He fell in love with internet.
Second interviewee was a women who have used online interpersonal relationship for 5 or 6 years. She couldn't made any friends in real life but in online she showed very energetic activity and succeeded in getting people's attention. In that consequence, she lived on online without sleep and deep involvement in real life.
The last person used internet many purpose which different from time zone. He searching information in daytime, playing online game with friends in afternoon, and watched alone online porno in midnight. Also he didn't want close interpersonal relationship with anyone.
Throughout these cases, we can made faint outlook of addictive internet users. They had very limited real life interpersonal relationship but made deep and close friends in online. Also they fell in love with internet, because internet has provided what they want. Finally they are so lonely people in real life and internet which meet their needs is a solitary activity, that's why they indulged in online.
