With my experience and abilities that I have developed, I feel confident that I would be an asset to IBM as the one for an entry-level sales position.
I have participated in the Study Abroad program at American University in the U.S. as an exchange student. Although it was only for one semester, I was able to improve my English skill during that time. I attended four classes out of the same courses which native students take, and managed to get ‘A’ grade, the highest grade, for every class. Besides the school course, I participated in an Internship program at Korea Embassy, where my main duty was to translate documents and to support multicultural events in which I had to deal with a lot of non-Koreans. With my English skill I have developed through the Study Abroad program, I feel the confidence to contribute to IBM-Korea which interacts a lot with companies from other countries.
In addition to English skill, I have many experiences of meeting and dealing with people from other countries, which helped me achieve a cosmopolitan outlook. When I was in the U.S. as an exchange student, I could meet people from different countries, and learn from them. For example, I worked as a member of an arrangement committee for Global Festival in American University. Throughout the preparation for the festival, I worked with the committee members from more than 20 countries. During that time, I learned a lot about the different cultures from the co-workers, which let me achieve a cosmopolitan outlook. With this cosmopolitan outlook, I am convinced that I will contribute to IBM-Korea which deals with a lot of visitors from other countries.
