Ⅱ. 재료 및 방법
1. 시료모발 ● 실험 약제 및 실험도구
1) 시료 모발 본 연구에 사용된 모발은 펌이나 염색 등 화학처리를 한 번도 하지 않는 원사 를 구입하여 사용하였다. 모발의 상단부분은 실리콘 작업하여 가로의 크기를 3 cm 로 설정하고 모발의 길이는 23 cm 로 하여 시료를 제작하였으며, 모발 평균 무게는 2g±2 이었고, 명도는 5 레벨이었다. 본 실험에 사용한 시료모발은 건강모와 손상모를 구분하였으며 건강모발은 원모 상태 피스를 사용하였다. 손상모 제작은 탈색제 D사 1제의 주성분 과황산 암모늄과 2제의 주성분 과산화수소수로 이루어진 약제를 1:1.5 로 혼합하여 사용하였으며 방 치 시간은 열처리 5분간 실시하고 자연방치시간을 5분으로 하여 실험하였다. 방치 시간이 종료된 후에는 미지근한 물을 사용하여 충분히 헹군 뒤 실온에서 자연 건조 시켰다.
2) 실험 약제 본 실험에 사용된 perm제는 A사의 퍼머넌트(Permanent wave) 전용제품으로 환원제 (1제)의 주성분은 치오글리콜산염(Thiogycolic acid)으로 pH 9.3 으로 이루어져 있으며, 환 원제(2제)의 주성분인 과산화수소수(Hydrogen peroxide)인 제품을 사용하였다.
3) 실험 도구 및 기구 (1) 퍼머넌트 웨이브 시술시 로드의 지름 및 베이스 폭과 웨이브 형성 길이를 측정하 기 위하여 디지털 캘리퍼스(Digital PITA Calipers, KANON, Mitutoyo Co, Korea0를 사 용하였다.
2. 방법
건강모와 손상모의 구분 없이 동일한 조건에서 시술 하였으며 먼저 실험용 모발 의 시료 무게를 측정하였다.

퍼머넌트 제 1제를 사용하여 시료모발에 도포하였으며 실험조건의 변수가 되는 베 이스(Base)의 크기를 중앙지름, 최외각지름을 기준으로 하여 각각 지름의 1배, 1/2 배, 1/3배의 폭의 변수를 두어 로드(Rod) 1호를 기준으로 하여 1호씩 증가시켜 10호 까지 사용하였다. 와인딩 시 로드의 베이스는 온 베이스(On base)로 와인딩 하였다. 1제 처리시간은 20분 자연방치 한 후 로드를 제거하고 중간린스(Plain rinse) 한 다 음 타올로 물기 제거 후 자연건조 10분방치 하였다. 산화제(2제) 과산화수소수를 이 용하여 중화시간을 총 2회로 나누어 1회 8분, 2회 7분으로 도포하고 방치하였다. 중 화시간을 마친 이후에 미온수로 깨끗하게 헹군 다음 찬바람을 이용하여 모발을 건 조 시킨 모발을 모든 시험에 사용하였다. 연구방법을 간단히 도식화 하면 Scheme
