SUMMARY
An Empirical Analysis of
the Woman Volunteer Activities in Korea

In traditional Korea, women were regarded as performers of household affairs. But, now, upgradings of Korean women's educational levels and the reductions of the time for household affairs are generating, the problems of efficient utilization of women labour forces. Nevertheless, in modern Korea, the utilization of women labour forces are really restricted by social structure, and traditional prejudices against women.
This paper focus on the restricted women labour forces, so we suggest the way of utilizing these labour forces, Specially acceding to the example of foreign countries, we'll emphasis the importance of voluntary service behaviors which are one possible way of utilizing.
This paper, as followed :
Chapter 1 : In this chapter, first of all, we'll understand the meanings of women unemployed labour forces and utilizing ways of these, and suggest the orientation of this paper. Following my opinion in this chapter, we will consider the factors of generating women unemployed labour forces. Especially we'll be required further examinations on three factors : the reduction of the time for household affairs, the upgradings of women's educational levels, and the traditional prejudices against women.
Chapter 2 : In this chapter, we'll discuss the meanings of voluntary service, and so we will find that it can be a possible solution to the problem of utilizing women unemployed labour forces.
Chapter 3 : In this chapter, taking one voluntary service association as example, we'll empirically analyze it's group formation, aims, and its participants. From these analysis, we suggest the possible ways of enlarging the women participants to voluntary service activities.
Chapter 4 : Synthesizing the above mentioned facts, we will conclude this paper.
