Since the beginning of the human race, communication has been recognized as the most undeniable basic source to working people. (Kern. 1997) Also, according to Anastasiou (2002) conflict can be a follower of unsuccessful communicating. In aviation industry, all tasks are being achieved by teamwork. To be a good team, communication is the glue that holds a team together. (Mediacity. 2000) Therefore the ability to communicate effectively is a fundamental skill to be a good manager.
I would like to show four examples which can occur in everyday work situations and explain what I would do to resolve the problems when encountered by myself as a manager. Also my emotional feelings will be illustrated in below.
There are processes which can be followed to help alleviate these problems the first step being education. If this fails step two is to confront the problem which in turn leads to step three and four. If these steps are followed you should create integrity-based relationships characterized by high trust, shared (bilateral) rather than hierarchical control, and openness. (Irvine. 2001)
