성원이 요구되는데, 그 동안 강 건너 불 구경하던 식으로 소홀히 하여왔던 다른 나라에서 일어나고 있는 기아문제, 인종분규, 난민위기 등에 대하여 우리 국익과 직접적인 상관이 없어 보이거나 단기적으로 볼 때 별 상품성이 없어 보이는 일이라 할지라도 국익을 넘어서 인간사랑의 정신으로 어려움에 처한 사람들을 돕는데 동참하겠다는 지구인류애(earthmanship)를 배양해야 할 것이다.
