People will agree that paper is one of the most essential materials in whatever they do after it has been invented. On the other hand, it is not sure that they recognize that making every single new paper causes many problems environmentally such as air pollution, deforestation, and wasting water and electricity. It is impossible to make people stop using paper to solve these problems. However, there is one that can help this condition better: the paper recycling. Paper recycling is not a process which is so hard and needed high technical skills. This process is widely divided into three steps (Preliminary, Cleaning, papermaking), and all these steps have specific courses respectively. Through this process, at least 30000 liters of water, 3000 – 4000 KWh electricity, and 95% of air pollution can be saved.
The very beginning process is simply preparatory works like removing dirtiness and arranging paper for the next step. At first, paper for recycling is required to keep free from contaminants, such as food, plastic, metal, and other trash, which make paper difficult to recycle. This course is called “sorting.” The sorted paper is taken to a local recycling center or recycling bin. At the recycling center, the collected paper is wrapped in tight bales and transported to a paper mill. At the paper mill, wrapped paper is unloaded and put into warehouses, until it is needed. The various paper grades are kept separate, because the paper mill uses different grades of paper to make different types of recycled paper.
