Capital punishment is one of the most controversial issues in the world. A lot of people talk about this issue, and some people agree with it while others don’t. What do you think about it? I think this policy has to be abolished for several reasons.
The reason why capital punishment must be abolished is because crime rates do not decrease, misjudgment can occur, dictatorship can abuse, and is merely a state sanctioned murder. First of all, it has not been proven that capital punishment decreases the crime rate. The typical supporting example of this sentence is the UN’s research of the relationship between capital punishment and the crime rate. According to the research in Canada, the murder crime rate has decreased from 1795, at the same time capital punishment was abolished. Second, capital punishment has a fatal flaw, the probability of misjudgment.
