-VMware를 설치하면 하나의 host OS위에 guest OS를 설치할 수 있다. 듀얼 부팅이나 새로운 시스템 필요없이 다양한 시스템 구성을 마음대로 설정해 볼 수 있는 장점이 있지만 host operating system은 VMware가 소프트웨어 방식으로 하드웨어를 에뮬레이션하는 까닭에 높은 하드웨어 사양을 고려해야한다.(최근 많이 최적화되고 안정성도 높아졌다고 한다.)
