“Have a dinner together”
I have been performed about 20 team projects at the school, Sogang University. Sometimes, I did those as a member of team, however, I was in charge of the captain for managing whole process of seven projects. In those seven cases, first of all, I tried to establish rapport between team members. As the captain, I could have ordered people to do this or that. Otherwise, I believe that relationship should be firmly founded before buckling to functional work. For example, I always made the table for dinner together at the first meeting. I encouraged my team members to talk personal business, share the life, praise and listen to each other. It works. Once they used to each other, they started to enjoy working together. What have we got? We got ‘A’s in both classes and the relationship. This is my number one team leading policy, “Have a dinner together with your team.”
