Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine statistically the feminisms of Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre and Virginia Woolf’s A Room of one’s Own. These two literary works are both feministic but they have different shapes, objectives and symbolic elements. Both of them claimed that women wanted to be treated like men and worked against the sexism in the society, yet they had different types of feminism with different shapes, different symbolic elements and different objectives. These two literature works are among the most important works of feminism literature; they revealed the process of women’s achieving independence in the 19th society. The more important thing is that they have different types of feminism. This research revealed how their social background and family lives worked together and resulted in different shapes, symbolic elements and objectives of feminism. The author hopes that, through this thesis, we can achieve new and fresh sights about feminism.
