- 시에서 자주 등장하는 주제 -사랑, 자연, 죽음, 사회-를 파악
- ‘노래’의 가사들을 형태적, 주제적인 면에서 살펴봄
- 이 단원의 시
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star: 반짝반짝 작은 별, 전체 5절로 되어 있으며, 한 절은 4행이 기본이며 후렴구 2행
이 붙어 있다. 이어지는 2행의 각운을 맞추고 있다
Old Black Joe: 미국 흑인의 인권을 주장, 전체 3절이며 각 절은 4행 + 후렴 2행
My Heart Will Go On: 연인에 대한 사랑이 내 마음속에서 늘 변함없이 남아 있을 것임을 강조
Morning Has Broken: 새 아침이 밝아오면서 만물이 새롭게 보이는 순간에 느낀 종교적 감성을 담음
