st that + 주어 + should + 동사원형.
ex 1) He said to me, "Do your best"
He told me to do my best.
2) The doctor said to me "Do not smoke."
The doctor advised me not to smoke.
The doctor forbade me to smoke.
(4) 감탄문의 전달
전달동사를 cry(out), shout, exclaim 등으로 바꾸고 감탄문 어순을 그대로 쓰거나,
very를 보충하여 평서문으로 변경한다.
ex 1) He said, "What a pretty girl she is!"
He cried out(or said) what a pretty girl she was.
He cried out that she was a very pretty girl.
(5) 기원문의 전달
피전달문에 God이 있을 때 pray that God may ∼.
사람에 대한 소망을 나타낼 때 express one's wish that + 주어 + may
ex 1) He said, "God save my son!"
He prayed that God might save his son.
2) He said, "May you succeed!"
He expressed his wish that I might succeed.
　 피전달문이 중문 일 때
피전달문이 and, but으로 연결된 중문일 때는 and와 but 다음에 that을 쓸 것.
for, as 등으로 연결된 중문일 때는 이들 접속사 다음에 that을 쓸 필요가 없다.
피전달문이 명령문 + and 또는 명령문 + or일 경우에는 and 다음에 that을 쓸
필요가 없다.
ex 1) He said, "I like this picture, and I will buy it."
He said (that) he liked that picture, and that he would buy it.
2) He said, "I will stay at home, for it is raining."
He said (that) he would stay at home, for it was raining.
3) He said to me, "Make haste, and you will be in time."
He told me to make haste, and I should be in time.
