그는 에비의 집으로 찾아가서 문을 두드리는데, 에비는 알면서도 대답하지 않습니다.
에비는 술을 마시고 있었죠. 그런데 극적이게도 에비가 문을 열어주기로 할때 벤은 포기합니다.
하지만 두 사람은 서로를 그리워하죠. 벤은 연극 무대로 돌아오는데, 에비가 강당으로 들어와 벤과 함께 떠나면서 영화는 절정에 달합니다.
벤의 엄마는 쫓아오고 벤에게 돌아오라고 소리치지만 차가 그녀를 향해 돌진하는 것을 알아차리지 못하고 차에 치이게 됩니다.
The denouement includes the recovery of Ben\'s mother in hospital. We also discover that although she preaches that all should be loyal and faithful to their religion and God, she has an affair. She and Ben\'s dad get a divorce. Meanwhile, Ben continues to visit Evie, but not as regularly, as he gets a new job.

All in all, I think this was a terrific film. The audience becomes emotionally involved in the film as we see the actors portray feelings of loneliness and despondency, but comic relief is also used to great effect. I believe Rupert’s acting at the beginning of the film was to be honest awful. He was meant to be extremely shy and introverted, but he exaggerated these traits by looking stony-faced and barely talking in almost every scene. However, we really see his true ability as the film progresses and his character becomes more relaxed and extroverted in the company of his good friend, Evie.

그렇지만, 영화가 진행되고 벤이 에비와 친해짐으로써 안정감 있어지고
활발해지면서 루퍼트의 진짜 실력을 보게 된답니다!
Julie Walters is an incredible actress. She played the part of Evie brilliantly. She portrayed accurately the character as crazy, out-spoken and emotional. In the interview following the screening, she said she pulled a lot of these characteristics from the character of her grandmother, who was highly eccentric.
줄리 월터스는 정말 훌륭한 배우예요. 에비의 역할을 정말 완벽하게 소화해냈습니다.
그녀는 약간 정신나간 듯하고 말 많으면서 감정적인 사람을 정확하게 그려냈어요.
