Reciprocal innervation
It is the balance activity of excitation and inhibition during a movement which controls its speed, range, and direction(Sherringtion, 1913).
Graded and synchronous interaction of agonists, antagonists and synergists throughout the body(Bobath, 1990).
Motor skill is based on reciprocal innervation and sequential activation of motor units giving selectivity of movement control(BBTA, 2003).
