길을 따라 올라가면 일본작가인 이토 다카미치의 ‘4개의 움직이는 풍경’을 비롯하여, 스웨덴 조각가인 에릭 디트망의 ‘최고의 순간을 위해 멈춰진 기계’와 우리나라 작가인 심문섭의 ‘은유-출항지’ 등의 작품을 볼 수 있는데 작품 하나하나에 담긴 의미가 산책 중 생각의 시간을 만들어준다. 여러 작품 중 프랑스 작가인 장 피에르 레이노의 ‘분재’는 직관적이면서도 재미있는 아이디어라 한눈에 주제를 알아볼 수 있으며, 또 동양적 세계관과도 통하는 면이 있어 지나는 사람들 모두 한 번씩 바라보는 작품이다. 공원 중간 소나무 한 그루 뒤로 통영의 바다가 시원하게 펼쳐지는 풍경에 절로 탄성을 자아내게 된다.
When you go up to the roads, you can see the various artworks including ‘4 moving sceneries’ by Japanese artist Ito Takamichi, ‘stopped machines for the best time’ by Swedish sculptor Erik Dietman and ‘Metaphor and departure’ by Korean artist 심문섭, and meanings of each artwork give you a thinking time during your walks. Among the various artworks, ‘potted plant’ by French artist Jean-Pierre Raynaud gives you an intuitive and interesting idea that you can easily identify the subject. Everybody looks at his work because his work also has the aspects which communicate with oriental view of the world. The scenery which spreads out to the sea from the back of the pine tree in the middle of the park and shows the sea of Tongyeong-si gives you a natural exclamation.
