뇌졸중

neurological deficit of cerebrovascular cause that persists beyond 24 hours or is interrupted by death within 24 hours
뇌로의 혈액 공급이 방해를 받아 생기는 뇌 기능의 빠른 상실
그 결과, 영향을 받은 뇌의 부위가 제대로 기능하지 못함


Signs and symptoms

증상들은 영향을 받은 뇌의 부위에 달려있음
보통 몸 한쪽의 팔다리를 움직이지 못하거나, 말을 하지 못하거나, 한쪽 눈이 보이지 않는 등의 증상

Early recognition – to predict the presence of stroke
sudden-onset face weakness
arm drift : 팔을 앞으로 뻗어 들어올렸을 때 유지하지 못하고 떨어트리는 것
abnormal speech

영향 받은 부분에 따른 증상

CNS pathway ->보통 unilateral한 증상을 보임
hemiplegia(편측마비) and muscle weakness of the face
numbness(감각이 없음)
reduction in sensory or vibratory sensation
initial flaccidity (무기력), replaced by spasticity (경직), hyperreflexia(과다반사), and obligatory synergies.
Brainstem -> 뇌신경의 defect
altered smell, taste, hearing, or vision (total or partial)
drooping of eyelid (ptosis) and weakness of ocular muscles
decreased reflexes: gag, swallow, pupil reactivity to light
decreased sensation and muscle weakness of the face
balance problems and nystagmus
altered breathing and heart rate
weakness in sternocleidomastoid muscle with inability to turn head to one side
weakness in tongue
