비록 기독교인들의 시각으로 느껴지는 감흥을 얻지는 못하였어도, 지금 내 삶에 있어서 내가 생각하는 정의와 어긋나는 죄를 짓지 않고 살아가고, 예수처럼 너그러운 마음을 지니고 모두를 용서할

대한 철저한 사실묘사를 통해 우리에게 예수님의 고난에 대해 다시 한번 생각해보고, 그의 고통을 간접적으로 그러나 그 어떤 책이나 영화보다 직접적으로 느낄 수 있었던 영화였다.

2004년 이 영화가 처음 나왔을 때 아니 나오기 전부터 사람들의 입과 입을 오르내리면서 엄청난 기대를, 사람들의 관심이 대단 했던 걸로 기억한다. 하지만 나는 제목은 많이 들어봤지만 본적은 한번도 없다.

화를 다른 안 믿는 친구들도 많이 봤다고 해서 깜짝 놀랐다. 당연히 기독교 신자들만 봤을 거라 생각했는데 굉장히 의외였다. 이제 안 믿는 사람들도 예수님에 대해 관심을 갖는 구나 싶었다. 예전엔 몰랐던 궁금증이 마구 생기기 시작했다.

하는 장면들이다. 사탄의 얼굴은 정말 소름끼치도록 사악하며 잔인해보였다. 영화가 그렇게 그렸을지 모르나 사탄의 이미지는 정말 끔찍했다. 특히나 예수님께서 모든 인간의 죄를 대신 받으시고 돌아가신 후에 사탄의 절규는 더더욱 무서웠
