What is international balance of payments?
오늘날에는 국가 간에 상품과 서비스는 물론, 자본이나 노동과 같은 생산 요소와 기술까지도 거래되고 있다. 각국 정부는 이와 같은 국제 거래를 통해 얼마만큼의 외화를 벌어들이고 썼는지를 기록하고 있는데, 이와 같이 일정한 기간 동안 국가 간에 일어난 모든 경제적 거래를 집계한 것을 국제 수지라고 한다.
Today, of course goods and services, productive factor and technology such as capital, labor are transacted internationally. Each nation’s government is recording how much foreign currency they earned and spent through international transaction and like this, international balance of payments of payments means the totality of all economic transactions, which occurred during the regular period.
국제 수지는 크게 경상 수지와 자본 수지로 구분할 수 있다. 경상 수지는 상품과 서비스를 사고 파는 경상거래, 자본수지는 돈을 빌리거나 빌려주는 자본 거래의 결과를 집계한 것이다. 이 중 경상 수지는 상품의 수출.입 차를 나타내는 상품 수지, 외국과의 서비스 거래 결과를 기록한 서비스 수지, 근로자가 외국에 나가서 벌어들인 돈과 해외 투자 결과 획득한 배당금 및 이자를 기록하는 소득 수지, 아무런 대가 없이 이루어지는 무상 거래인 이전수지 등으로 구성되어 있다.
International balance of payments can be divided as the balance of current accounts and the balance of capital accounts. The balance of current accounts is the totality of current transaction through which people buy and sell goods and service, and the balance of capital accounts is the totality of capital transaction through borrowing and lending money. Between these, the balance of current accounts consists of commodity balance of payments, which shows the gap of the export and import of commodities, service balance of payments which records the transaction result of the service with the foreign countries, income balance of payments, which records the money that the workers went out of their own country and earned from the foreign nation and the dividend and interest that are achieved by overseas investment result and the transfer balance of payments which are the transference balance of payments, which consist of free trade without any price.
