May 11th is The Adoption Day in Korea which was enacted in 2007. Even

though it has been sixty years since the Korean War and Korea has been one of the

powerful countries in Asia following Japan, a long-run international adoption has

always been a shame of the country. In the present time, Korea, a country with twenty

thousand won of the national income, the highest number of international students

within the U.S., and 1.26 of birth rate, is sending two thousand of children abroad

annually. The number of internationally-adopted children is 125,880 from the Korean

War to 1991. The famous Korean actor and actress Cha In Pyo and his wife Shin Ae Ra

are the standard of adopter. After having the first baby of their own, they adopted two

children in 2005 and in 2008, respectively. According to her, she bore the two kids

through her heart. Their case has been a good example of accepting adoption which

most people have been reluctant toward.
