Ernest Hemingway, he is one of the most beloved authors in the USA as well as in the world and he is a Nobel Prize winner. His book, “Hills Like White Elephants” was written at 1927. The novel is about 2 pages short; but I love this story because the novel makes me imagine the rest of the story. In the story, a girl named Jig and an American sitting in a table argue seriously about her abortion. As mentioned above, it is only 2 pages short and they talk very short dialogues; however, (중략)...or unfortunately both. “Oh, yes. But I don’t care about me. And I’ll do it and then everything will be fine” she said. From this, readers can assume she cares that he would leave her if she bears his baby.
In sum, every time I read Hemingway’s masterpieces, I really enjoyed because his novels makes me think about ‘what if I were…’ question. This novel also makes me
