Ⅱ. 연구방법
1. 시료모발 본 실험에 사용된 모발은 펌이나 염색을 하지 않은 것으로 명도 1에 해당하는 건강모와 염색을 한 모발로 명도 5에 해당하는 손상모를 구입하였다. 구입하였을 때의 형태가 치마피스였고 가로 길이를 2㎝의 간격으로 잘랐으며 세로 길이는 5 ㎝, 15㎝, 20㎝, 25㎝, 30㎝, 35㎝, 40㎝로 구분하여 손상모와 건강모를 각각 제작 하였다.
2. 실험약제 및 도구 본 실험에서 사용된 perm제는 현장에서 흔히 사용되는 A사의 퍼머넌트 웨이 브 전용제품으로 연구 되었다. 환원제(1제)의 주성분은 치오글리콜산염으로 pH 9.3이며 산화제(2)의 주성분은 과산화수소이다. 퍼머넌트 웨이브 시술 시 필요한 일반로드와 웨이브 형성 길이를 측정하기 위 해 디지털 캘리퍼스를 사용하였다.
3. 실험방법 건강모와 손상모를 동일한 조건에서 시술하였다. 습도는 55~60%이며 실내온 도는 25~30°였다. 퍼머넌트 1제를 사용하여 시료모발에 도포 하였으며 균일한 웨 이브 형성을 위해 Table 1를 참고로 하여 1호에서 5호까지 중앙 지름을 사용하고 6호에서 10호까지는 외각지름을 사용하여 준비된 모발의 길이별과 로드별로 각 각 와인딩 하였다. 와인딩이 끝난 직후에서 20분 자연방치 후 2제 처리로 1회 7분을 방치하였다.
4. 평가방법 와인딩이 끝난 모발을 컬 형성력을 알아보기 위해 펌이 끝난 후의 길이를 디 지털 캘리퍼스로 측정하였다. 컬 형성력 평가로 이순자2)의 논문에서 연구된 것으로 모발을 중력방향으로 내려지게 한 다음 줄어든 길이를 측정하여 그 차이를 백분율로 환산한다. Diagram 1의 공식을 참고로 한다.
컬형성력(%)=(기존길이-줄어든길이)/기존길이*100
모발길이에 따른 가능한 로드를 선정하기 위한 기준을 위해 먼저 로드를 1호 에서 10호까지의 지름을 측정하고 로드를 호수별로 회전이 가능한 Table 2의 유 효회전수를 구한다. S컬과 S컬이 합쳐진 상태가 풀 웨이브라고 하였을 때 웨이 브가 형성 될 수 있는 풀 웨이브 수는 Table 3과 같이 모발 길이별과 로드 호수 별로의 수치를 기준으로 하여 웨이브가 형성될 수 있는 길이를 측정하였다. 웨이브 형성률을 최희진3)의 연구에 근거하였으며 퍼머넌트 웨이브를 위한 모발 의 최소 길이의 형성률이 20%인 것으로 평가 되었다.
