본문내용
These days, many people go to cafe at their leisure time or when they need to study with their friends or alone. In cafe, people usually drink hot beverage such as hot americano or hot cocoa especially in winter. People who want to drink hot beverage but cannot drink well often get a burnt from the hot beverage because of its high temperature. The temperature is nearly 77℃. Then, should they wait until the beverage gets cooled?
One method to help them is to make a straw dissipate large amount of heat during sucking the straw. Fortunately, there is a straw called ‘SIP stick’ that enables people to drink hot beverage. But its ability to dissipate heat is not enough to drink rapidly. We found problem from these facts. So, we decided to optimize the straws used to drink hot beverage. We devised five prototypes and final optimized model. We did CFD analysis using ANSYS Fluent to choose the best model and compare them with SIP stick. And then we supplemented the better ones into final optimum model.
