And then the type of vertical semantic relation is taken concrete shapes as Additional relation and Generalization relation by the relation of meaningful including. While the type of horizontal relation has concrete shape such as collecting relation, causal relation, problem-solution relation, and comparison-contrast relation according to the relation of meaningful equal terms. The developing process of meaning relation, which is controlled by the principle of expansion, means the process of reader's comprehension about text. All the developing process of meaning relation-which is based on the principle of expansion-contains three types of process such as higher, equal, and lower process. The first process is related with the whole structure, the second with the expansion of the width in meaning structure, and the third with the expansion of the depth in meaning structure. To be result, the semantic structure of text means the hierarchical structure made by its components which are connected with one or more meaning relation such as higher, equal, lower process throughout one or more developing process of meaning relation such as vertical and horizontal relation.
The chapter VI shows the method of process-driven analysis, which analyses the semantic structure of text according to the comprehension process of readers. This method takes sentence unit instead of proposition unit. This is because the analysis unit of structure has to represent the whole relation. And the method of process-driven analysis is composed to 3 steps like this;
(1) The 1st step is a stage to divide the components with sentence unit and to set up the analysis unit.
(2) The 2nd step is a stage to build 'the process figure of meaning relation' by analyzing the relation which consists of text components according to the process of development.
(3) The 3rd step is the process to complete the figure of semantic structure with the hierarchy of semantic contents.
Korean education means the teaching that makes Korean using abilities of learners better. Although Korean curriculum has emphasized the using parts of language like speaking,reading, listening, and writing, it doesn't still have enough researches and excutions about the using parts of Korean. Korean education in actual schooling must find out the concrete teaching-learning theory and the way so that our Korean education will be improved in its quality. The ultimate purpose of this study is in finding out the way of Korean reading education which can grow the reading abilities of learners. The method of process-driven analysis has significance in points of showing the process of learners' comprehension and applying it in reading instruction of actual schooling.
