ABSTRACT
The Discourse and Task of Currently Physical Activity for Children
The purpose of this study was first, to examine the difference of the cognition about Physical Education(PE) for children -such as, concepts, aims, values, contents and methods of PE for children- by the content analysis method between a theses released in the academic field and 5 major newspaper accounts in Korea named PE for children, if the difference of the cognition is existent, second, to investigate what is that too. Based on that, meaning of research is to establish theoretical basis to be made a discourse with PE for children toward more desirable approach to grasp how much they understand an idea with PE for children as the academic field and general society, i.e.
Especially, the difference of cognition between a theses and 5 major newspaper accounts for PE for children is about the cognition of values. The former, the value of that is to be wholistic person, but the latter, it is released not only this, but also contents early education of sports. We will need conversion of cognition not to see PE for children in the viewing point of early education for acquirement or improvement of sports techniques and ability but to see PE for children as basic process to proceed as 'sports for all' in the aspect of lifelong education or wholistic education.
