“The Clapton Era”
On March 30, 1945, Eric Patric Clapton was born in his grandmother's house in Surrey, England. He was an illegitimate son of Patricia Molly Clapton and Edward Fryer, a Canadian soldier stationed in England. Thus, Clapton was raised by his grandmother, Rose Clapp. His surname came from Rose's ex-husband, Reginald Cecil Clapton. As an adolescent, Clapton dreamed about the future as a blues and R&B singer. However he commenced studies at The Kingston College of Art, but he was expelled at seventeen for playing guitar in class. After that, he took a job as a manual laborer and spent most of his time playing guitar. In time, Clapton Joined a member of British Blues bands,
