Competitive Rivalry within an Industry : - Most bitterly contested industry - Aaggressively by pushing below the level of costs to secure market share - Innovative products and continuously-introduced convergence products win the game. - Apple’s iPhone will be a threat to high-end handset makers.
New Entrants : - In existing market, intensive rivalry between established competitors. Difficult to enter newly into the manufacturing industry. - Need to a famous brand name for early market penetrations.
Suppliers & Buyers : - Many dispersed suppliers from all over industry - Various customer demand (Design, quality, function, price, etc)
Substitutes : - Few alternative IT products in current business environments. - However, possible to forecast upcoming new technology changes the whole rivalry structure. - New development of mobile PC, which combines the characteristics of PC and handset, will create the threat of substitute which can be also the threat to PC.
