Origin of the Yut-pan
There are 29 circles in the yut-pan. The reason are very well explained in "Theory of Yut-pan" of Kim Moon Pyo from the Chosun era. Extraordinary indeed.
The logic of the sky and earth is beneath this small yut-pan.
"The round shape of the border represents the sky.
The angled part inside, represents the earth. That means that the sky covers until the whole surface.
The comet is at the center of the stars and 28 stars are surrounding it."

한국의 대표적인 민속놀이(a folk game )로, 편을 갈라 윷으로 승부를 겨루는 놀이이다.
It's Koreans popular folk game, make two team and play with yut
윷( the Four-stick game yut)에는 도, 개, 걸, 윷, 모 가 있는데, '도'는 돼지(pig)를 뜻하고, '개'는 강아지(puppy)를 뜻한다.
There are Do, Gae, Gul, Yut, Mo, Do means pig and Gae means dog
또, '걸'은 양(sheep)을 뜻하고, '윷'은 소(cow)를 뜻하고, '모'는 말(horse)을 뜻한다.
And, Gul means sheep, Yut means cow, and Mo means horse.
셋이 엎어지고 하나가 젖혀질 때 '도', 둘이 엎어지고 둘이 젖혀질 때 '개',
하나가 엎어지고 셋이 젖혀질 때 '걸', 넷이 다 젖혀졌을 때 '윷', 넷이 다 엎어졌을 때 '모'이다.
Three stands with surface and one flips it's Do, two stands with surface and two flips it's Gae one stands with surface and three flips it's Gul, All flips it's yut and All stands with surface means Mo
또한, 도가 나오면 1칸, 개가 나오면 2컨, 걸이 나오면 3칸, 윷이 나오면 4칸, 윷이 나오면
5칸 앞으로 나갈 수 있다.
And, when you get Do go 1 block, Gae go 2 block, Gul go 3block, You go 4 block and go 5 blocks when you get Mo
2사람 또는 인원수가 많을 때는 2패·3패로 나뉘어 각각 4개의 말을 가지고 29밭으로 된
윷판을 사용하여 놀이한다.
whem play 2 or more play with 2 or 3 teams and have 4 markers each team and play with a you board which has 29 blocks.
자기편 말이 상대편 앞말과 같은 자리에 서면 상대편 말을 잡음과 동시에 1번 더 던질 수 있다. If your marker and different teams marker stands in same block, you let different teams marker to start line and throw yut one more.
또한 자기편 말이 한 자리에 겹치면 2말이 한꺼번에 뛸 수 있다.
