David and Goliath
[다윗과 골리앗]




David was a shepherd boy who spent most of his time in the fields with the lambs and the sheep.
다윗은 대부분의 시간을 양들과 같이 들에서 보내는 양치기 소년이었어요.

He always wondered about the God who created this lovely world.
그는 항상 아름다운 세상을 창조하신 하나님을 경탄하였어요.

Prophet Samuel had sent for him and anointed his head with oil.
예언자 사무엘이 다윗을 불러 그의 머리위에 기름을 부었어요.

This was the sign that God had chosen David
to be the future king of Israel.
이것은 하나님께서 미래의 이스라엘 왕으로 선택하셨다는 징조였어요.

At that time, the Israelites were still at war
with their old enemies, the Philistines.
그 당시, 여전히 이스라엘 사람들은
오래전 적이된 팔레스타인 사람들과 전쟁을 하고 있었어요.

One day when David was in the hills,
one of the king's servants came to fetch him.
어느날, 다윗이 언덕에 있었는데, 왕의 하인이 다윗을 데리러 왔어요.

The servant asked David to bring his harp and go to the king.
하인은 다윗에게 그의 하프를 가지고 왕에게 가자고 했어요.

King Saul who was ill and unhappy
wanted to hear David play the harp.
병들고 슬픈 사울왕은 다윗의 하프연주를 듣고 싶어했어요.

David played the harp for the sad king who was comforted by the music.
다윗은 음악을 통해 위안을 찾는 슬픈 사울왕을 위해 하프를 연주했어요.

The king regained his strength and went to his army.
왕을 힘을 회복하여 다시 군대로 갔어요.
