may be defined as a difficult situation in which strong reasons can be given for and against the same action.
may also be defined as a situation which involves a choice between equally unsatisfactory alternatives.
If at least some of the reasons for the action, or reasons why an alternative is unsatisfactory are moral reasons, the situation is a moral dilemma.
