As a result of globalization and change in workforce demographics, it has become necessary to practice fair treatment and equal employment opportunity. Today, global companies hire people with different sexual orientations with intention or not. More and more GLBT people have become part of the workforce.
However, high-profile cases of discrimination against GLBT employees, as well as apparent connections between companies and anti-GLBT organizations, have led many employees to hide their sexual orientation or gender identity and discouraged them from asking for equal benefits and protection. Discrimination is not just firing or not hiring, but also circumstance which GLBT people can not reveal their sexual identity.
