For those students, the problem of decreasing sociability could come out. To increase one's sociability and to meet many friends, there should be a direct interaction between friends. This could be acquired by playing sports or talking together. However, there is no interaction when we read books. Reading books is individual act. And most people don't like to be disturbed when they are reading books. This would decrease one's sociability and even make someone isolated.
Conclusion - Importance of good quality literature
All books have both a favorable reputation and a bad reputation. And literature has also both reputations. The reason why I blame modern fantasy literature is that it has too much commercial aim without the consideration of good quality. The origin of the popularity of the fantasy literature comes from our attitude. We have sought for only pleasure and writers have replied our demand. As the real cause is in our attitude, we have to solve this problem ourselves. To solve this problem, we have to throw away the attitude for only seeking pleasure. And we need an eye to see the quality of literary works. Whether we will read books or not depend on the individual. And what book we will read is also the individual's choice. However, I want to say choosing a good literature is important as well as reading a book.
