and in Jesus Christ,

The Story of Moses
[모세 이야기]




The Israelites who are descendants of Jacob lived in Egypt.
야곱의 후손인 이스라엘 사람들이 이집트에 살고 있었습니다.

These people, also known as the children of Israel became large in numbers which made the king of Egypt, Pharaoh, very worried.
이들은, 또한 이스라엘의 아이들이 증가하여 이집트의 왕을 만든다고 알려져 매우 걱정했습니다.

Fearing that one day they would turn against him, Pharaoh made the Israelites work for him as slaves.
언젠가 왕에게 대항할 할 수 있다는 것을 두려워하며, 왕은 이스라엘 백성을 노예처럼 일하게 했습니다.

Pharaoh also ordered that every new-born Israelite baby boy
be thrown into the River Nile.
파라오는 또한 새로 태어난 이스라엘의 모든 남자 아기를 나일 강에 던져 버리라고 명령했습니다.

There was a man and his wife who had three children, Aaron, Miriam, and their baby brother.
세 아이를, 아론, 미리암과 그들의 남자 아기, 가진 부부가 있었습니다.

When the baby brother was born,
his mother hid him to save his life.
남자 아기가 태어났을 때, 엄마는 그를 구하기 위해 숨겼습니다.

The baby was growing and his mother could not keep on hiding him anymore.
아기가 자라서 엄마는 더 이상 아기를 숨길 수 없었습니다.

She decided to leave him on the bank of the River Nile
where the king's daughter comes to bathe.
그녀는 아기를 왕의 딸이 목욕하러 오는 나일강의
강둑위에 남겨두기로 결심했습니다.
