I’m gonna briefly explain these technologies which are used by UNIQLO
and make them to be a success company in Japan and also all over the world.
Especially, among these we’ll go over POS system, SKU, and SCM.

First of all, this is about POS system.
As u guys see so, in this picture, they’re using POS system at the store.
When Uniqlo set up their business in Korea, they used POS system which was offered by Japan.
This was called Wincor POS.

Because Wincor POS that is used in Japan market focused on global brand specially, It consisted of basic packages, so It was available to account for just cash and it was impossible to operate promotions suitable for Korean market situation.

According to this, Korean market made POS systems that were available for various promotions, realtime serching programs, data management programs for analyzing sale and operating cash receipt, called Road-shop POS system.

A radical SKU makes UNIQLO to succeed!!

한 품목당 30~45일 정도 판매기간을 정해놓고 하루 단위로 세밀하게 판매 목표치를 설정해 '완전판매'한다. 인기 품목이라도 이 기간이 지나면 더 만들지 않고 신상품으로 대체한다.

In Uniqlo, there are no reorder and little inventory. Uniqlo is well known for mass production but little inventory.
It means, In Uniqlo, there are no reorder and selling everything.
The reason why they don’t have any stock even though they are producing over 1million is forecasting exact demand for consumer and having no-how of selling system. They ,,,,, daily unit.
If there are some goods which aren’t sold, they make special corner for 1+1 discount event.
And it makes inventory cost to be zero.
