1. Word root : The essential meaning of the term and the foundation of the word.

2. Prefix : to fix before or to fix to the beginning of a word.

3. Suffix : Placed at the end of word.

4. Combining vowel : No meaning of its own but it’s an important connector between the root and suffix.
