Engineers who are members of the Society shall endeavor to abide by the Constitution, By-Laws and Policies of the Society, and they shall disclose knowledge of any matter involving another member’s alleged violation of this Code of Ethics or the Society’s Conflicts of Interest Policy in a prompt, complete and truthful manner to the chair of the Committee on Ethical Standards and Review.
사회의 구성원인 엔지니어는 헌법과 법령 및 사회의 정책을 지탱하기 위해 노력하여야 하고 그들은 모든 문제와 관련된 윤리 강령 혹은 신속한 중요 정책의 사회의 갈등에서 윤리 표준과 재검토 위원회의 의장에게 완벽하고 신뢰적인 방법으로 지식을 공개하여야한다.

We, the members of the IEEE, in recognition of the importance of our technologies in affecting the quality of life throughout the world, and in accepting a personal obligation to our profession, its members and the communities we serve, do hereby commit ourselves to the highest ethical and professional conduct and agree:
세계를 통해 삶의 질에 영향을 주며, 개인의 의무를 우리의 일원과 사회에 우리가 제공하는 전문성으로 수용하는, 기술의 중요성을 인지하고 있는 우리 IEEE의 일원은, 이 문서에 의하여 우리 스스로 최고의 윤리적, 전문적 행동과 동의를 다음과 같이 분명히 한다.
1.to accept responsibility in making decisions consistent with the safety, health, and welfare of the public, and to disclose promptly factors that might endanger the public or the environment;
공공의 안전, 건강, 복지, 그리고 공공과 환경이 위험에 처한 요인을 바로 밝혀내기 위한 책임을 수용하기 위하여 항상 결심한다.
2.to avoid real or perceived conflicts of interest whenever possible, and to disclose them to affected parties when they do exist;
현실 혹은 언제나 일어날 수 있는 이해관계로 인해 일어난 갈등, 그리고 조직에 영향을 받게 하는 그들이 존재함으로서, 그들을 밝혀낸다.
3.to be honest and realistic in stating claims or estimates based on available data;
불평을 요구하거나 이용 가능한 자료를 바탕으로, 정직해야하고 현실주의적이어야 한다.
4.to reject bribery in all its forms;
모든 뇌물에 포함 하는 것은 거절한다.
5.to improve the understanding of technology; its appropriate application, and potential consequences;
기술과 이것의 적절한 적용법과 잠재된 결과 이해를 개선한다.
6.to maintain and improve our technical competence and to undertake technological tasks for others only if qualified by training or experience, or after full disclosure of pertinent limitations;
우리의 기술적인 경쟁력을 개선하고 유지하며, 훈련을 받아 자격이 있거나, 경험이 있을 경우, 혹은 타당한 규제의 완전한 발표를 한 뒤, 다른 사람들을 위해 기술적인 작업의 책임을 진다.
7.to seek, accept, and offer honest criticism of technical work, to acknowledge and correct errors, and to credit properly the contributions of others;
잘못을 수정하고, 다른 사람들의 헌신을 공정히 신뢰하고, 추구하고, 수용하고, 기술적 업무의 정직한 비평을 제공한다.
8.to treat fairly all persons regardless of such factors as race, religion, gender, disability, age, or national origin;
모든 사람들을 인종, 종교, 성별, 장애, 나이, 국적과 같은 요소에 개의치 않고 공정히 대한다.
9.to avoid injuring others, their property, reputation, or employment by false or malicious action;
다른 사람들의 재산, 명성, 일을 실수 혹은 악의적 행동으로 피해주지 않는다.
10.to assist colleagues and co-workers in their professional development and to support them in following this code of ethics.
동료를 도와주고 직업적 발전의 동업자를 지지하고 그들을 이 윤리 강령에 따르도록 한다.
