리의 생명의 구원자이시며 인도자이시며 변호자이신 하나님께 두어져야 함을 명심하게 될 것이다. 주께서 가시는 곳에 우리도 함께 가며, 주께서 거하시는 곳에 머물면서 주님과 동행하는 삶을 사는 것, 그것이 이 땅에 살고 있는 예수님의 제자들의 삶이 아닐까! 우리가 섬기고 있는 교회도 성도들의 삶과 다르지 않다. 성도들의 삶의 목적이 성령님의 능력을 힘입어 예수님을 증거하고 변호하는 것이라고 한다면 교회 또한 성령님께 붙들려 복음전도와 사랑나눔에 쓰임받는 믿음의 공동체가 되어야만 하는 것이다. 작금의 현실이 예수님을 닮은 신자를 찾아보기 힘들고, 교회 다운 교회를 찾아보기 힘들다고 하는 때에, 이럴수록 모든 시련과 시험을 넉넉히 이기게 하시는 성령님을 의지하여 우리의 모든 연약함을 변호하시는 예수님을 기억하면서 최선을 다해 그분을 사랑하고 섬기기 위해 자신을 내어 드리고, 복음을 전하기 위해 모든 열정을 다해야만 우리에게 맡겨진 사명을 제대로 감당하게 되는 것이다. 살림살이가 어렵다고 다들 이구동성으로 외친다. 그러나 예수님을 구주로 믿고 거듭난 우리는 모든 보화를 천국에 쌓기 위해 성령으로 충만하여져서 빈들에서나 사막에서, 우리의 몸이 피곤할지라도, 오늘은 이곳, 내일은 저곳 신실하고 진실한 모습으로 복음을 전해야 할 것이다. 이 일을 하고자 결심하고 헌신할 때 하나님께서는 우리를 기뻐하시고, 이 모든 일을 더 멋지게 감당할 수 있도록 필요한 모든 것을 채워주실 것이다.
