Abstract
A Study of Status and Strategies on the Business Education

Business educators will be constantly faced with the challenge to review curriculum contents to keep up to date with changing environments. Therefore, business educators must examine the status of business education and develop business education curriculum to meet the needs and wants of students. And then, the importance of business education must achieve widespread recognition and acceptance.
This study is conducted to suggest the strategies on the business education in suit with the information society of the 21st century through analyzing the status of business education based on general high school and business high school in Korea.
The main contents of strategies on the business education are followings: in general high school; the recognition change of vacational course and the necessity of curriculum development satisfied with employment condition, the necessity of vocational subject development satisfied with information society, the necessity of charge of major teacher in the liberal arts subjects, and direction for a desirable employment guidance. In business high school; the necessity of strategies to improve quality and quantity, the necessity of a course of study satisfied with employment structure, direction for a desirable employment guidance, and the necessity of the subject charge based on specialty.
