이상과 같은 연구에서 얻을 수 있는 시사점은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유럽연합에서 농협의 사업규모가 대형화되고 있는 추세는 비사업적인 연합회 법인의 신설이 확대되고 있는 것이 아니라, 사업물량을 규모화하고 거래를 집중화시킬 수 있는 자회사의 신설이 확대되는 경향으로 파악할 수 있다. 또한 그러한 자회사는 산지를 중심으로 설립되는 대형 자회사가 아니라 소비지의 판매센터를 중심으로 설립된 대규모 자회사라는 점에 특징이 있다. 둘째, 정책의 변화에 대한 농협의 자체적인 대응전략도 중요한 것으로 파악할 수 있다. 프랑스의 신용사업 농협 조직인 크레디 아그리콜은 프랑스 정부의 지원에 힘입어 성장전략을 채택하였으며, 그 결과 급변하는 국내외 금융시장의 여건 변화에 발빠르게 적응하고 있는 것으로 파악된다.
