that all soldiers should receive.


Korea is a divided country that is currently in armistice with North Korea. Every man in their 20s obligatorily has to attend the military for 2 years to protect the nation. People who have successfully attended the military receive 5 percent of additional points on their employment test when they get out in the society. This is considered the only reward for being a soldier. However, such scheme was repealed when the women’s organization protested that it interrupts women and disabled people to participate in the society. This is an unfair decision only considering the women’s position in the society, and a betrayal to those who worked hard to protect the nation. There are several reasons to why the extra point scheme must be reinforced.

우리나라는 분단국가로 북한과 현재 휴전상태이다. 따라서 이 사회를 지키기 위해 모든 20대 남자는 의무적으로 2년간 군복무를 해야 한다. 군 가산점 제도는 이에 대한 유일한 보상으로 제대 군인이 취업시험에서 총점의 5%의 가산점을 받는 제도이다. 하지만 최근 여성과 장애인의 사회 참여를 방해한다는 여성계의 반발로 군 가산점 제도가 폐지 되었다. 이는 여성들의 입장만을 고려한 편협한 결정으로 국가를 위해 헌신한 우리 군인들에 대한 배신이고 남성 전체에 대한 역차별로 반드시 부활시켜야만 한다.
