ural area students and urban area students were different. Urban area students said that it was natural and good while rural area students said that it made them tense. This means rural area students have fewer opportunities to come in contact with students of opposite sex than urban area students, who are more open to the relationship with different sex.
Third. More than half of the students responded that they experienced physical changes and they talked to their mothers about them. By area, rural area students were more aware of physical changes than urban area students. Many students have not experienced the phenomena indicating sexual maturity of adolescence, such as wet dreams for male students, menstruation for female students, and masturbation. Of the students who have experienced such phenomena, more students felt that the experience was scary and apprehensive rather than positive. On the question about access to pornographic material, most of the students responded that it was difficult. And the rate of students who experienced it was very low also. Those who had such experience experienced it alone at home or at a friend's house mostly. It seems that there is difference in what is considered as pornographic material by child.
Most of the students have not received sex education or only once or twice. There was difference by area, and the rate of sex education experience of urban area students was higher than that of rural area students.
Ford. The higher the level of sexual knowledge, the more positive the response toward physical changes and the more likely to agree to a cooperative and modern image of humans without differentiating sex roles. In other words, there was a significant correlation between sexual knowledge and sexual attitude.
The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to include heath education in the regular curriculum so that sex education can be carried out systematically from younger ages and the students can have more accurate knowledge of sex. It is also necessary to develop reliable sex education programs that are suitable for the developmental characteristics of children, to make audio visual material, and distribute it to schools. In addition, parents and teachers should not leave the children exposed to rapidly increasing mass media and help them obtain accurate knowledge of sex and establish healthy sexual morality.
